What is ISO?
ISO stands for the International Organization for Standardization. The name comes from the Greek word isos, meaning “equal.”
Founded in Geneva in 1920 as ISA, it was reorganized after World War II in 1947 as ISO. Today, ISO is a federation of representatives from over 150 countries, responsible for more than 16,500 international standards.

The phrase “ISO Certified” is incorrect unless the specific standard is mentioned. For example:
